This was the year of accomplishments and achievements for me and I can’t wait for 2019.
I’ve accomplished much in 2018 and made significant progress in my life. Looking back, I grew exponentially in my education and career.
However, I started off 2018 feeling lost and broken. A month prior I almost lost my life in a terrifying car accident which totaled my car. Luckily the accident was not my fault since I was rear-ended.
But I’m more hopeful and I look forward to new opportunities for self-improvement and starting a new career.
Things I accomplished in 2018
- Learned how to deal with car insurance after an accident.
- Learned some effective back exercises to help me recover from a lower back injury I got from the car accident.
- Went to a Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) summit and YALcon for the first time and made some awesome friends.
- Met Ron Paul twice.
- Met his son Rand Paul.
- Went to FEEcon again and met up with old friends.
- Met my friend and starchitect Patrik Schumacher again.
- Got hired by Tesla without a college degree, at their Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada (unfortunately I couldn’t make the move as it was too costly).
- Going to Mises University again and learning new things and making new connections.
- Got accepted into Praxis, a coveted business boot camp, after the second attempt.
- Built my own website and blogged everyday since October (with the exception of four days due to the passing of my grandpa).
- Learned how to make a value proposition.
- Published an article for the first time on FEE.
- Learned to write satire.
- Created a t-shirt store.
- Learned Adobe Illustrator from scratch.
- Became closer to God and strengthened my faith in him.
Things I can improve on next year
- Be more positive especially when I’m interacting with people.
- Always give the benefit of the doubt and be less judgemental.
- Conquering PTSD and managing my anger and anxiety better.
- Come to terms with my personality changes (prior to the accident I was friendlier and less spiteful towards bad drivers).
- Stick to a morning routine and wake up early for breakfast.
- Procrastinate less.
- Read more books.
- Have more social interactions in person.
- Go to the gym more.
- Go to church more often.
Here’s to a happy, healthy New Year!
