Today I learned a valuable lesson about keeping appointments and how to write a proper apology. Earlier I had scheduled a Zoom meeting with a Praxis advisor but I forgot to show up. Big mistake. Continue reading What I Learned About Etiquette

Portfolio Project Ideas

It’s been a busy and challenging first month at Praxis but I’ve successfully finished Module 1 of the bootcamp and I’m moving onwards to Module 2! This week I’m figuring out which career roles and portfolio project I want to pursue. Here I’ll hash out a rough outline of five possible project ideas and narrowing it down to one. Module 2 is the start of the meat and potatoes of the bootcamp and it will definitely be challenging but rewarding. As cliche as that sounds it’s true. Continue reading Portfolio Project Ideas
Today I Went to the ER for the First Time
I jinxed myself. A week ago I established some personal goals like waking up at 8:30 to get more tasks done. Today I woke up before my alarm and felt like I actually had ample sleep. My Top 3 Skills
Do seemingly simple questions leave you stumped like “What are you good at?” or “Can you name your top skills?” I would trip up and give vague horoscope-like descriptions that could apply to anyone but didn’t say anything unique about me. Before I wrote this post it took me awhile to brainstorm three top skills and how I applied them in real life. I was a bit surprised to discover that I didn’t really know myself as I thought I did.
