It’s been a challenging but rewarding month so far and I’ve made some big changes to my month-long t-shirt project. My original goal was to create 30 finished designs complete with t-shirt mockups, and open my own online store then market them through free outlets like Facebook and Instagram, and learn Adobe Illustrator from scratch. It’s week two of my portfolio T-shirt project and here is a quick update.

What Did I Produce?

I sketched the first set of ten designs in a sketchbook I had since 8th grade. It was a gift from my dad and I’ve filled it with various sketches and rough ideas, things that inspired me whenever I look back on it. Have you ever had a monumental task to achieve and felt lost? I was like that a few days ago stressed out over how I’m going to learn marketing and sales.

I didn’t know how I would accomplish my portfolio project so I called my friend Ivan and told him my situation. It’s officially Module two of Praxis and I’m feeling pumped and inspired! Earlier I dug up some old sketchbooks from high school and found some hidden gems I’ve forgotten about. I flipped through a few pages and rediscovered my fashion design sketches and looking back on it has renewed my inspiration and spirit.
