I Applied to Oscar Mayer’s Wienermobile as a Joke

Oscar Mayer is looking for a Hotdogger to drive one of their Wienermobiles. I couldn’t resist this opportunity to apply as a joke and have some fun.

The position is for only a year but the perks include:

• Competitive salary and benefits
• Clothing
• Traveling around the country
• A company car

Hello Wienermobile team!

I’m a fan of Oscar Mayer products and I’ve used them for as long as I can remember. It brings many warm memories of meals with my family and the affordability of your lunch meat has gotten us through hard times. 

I would love to work with the Wienermobile team, so I put together a short list of ideas to grow the reach of Oscar Mayer. 

-Create Facebook events and ads announcing places I’m visiting.

-Everyone loves a good boy, so I’ll adopt a dachshund, dress it up in a hotdog costume, and make him our mascot. It’s been proven that cute pets increase outreach on social media, e.g. Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund. In my humble opinion, dogs make the best diplomats.

-Set up meet and greets at college events such as football games, because it attracts large crowds which means more people posting on social media about the Wienermobile. It’s also free advertisement.
