Scripture Sunday: How to Get to Heaven

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Every week I’ll be posting a passage from the Bible. This is a new series called Scripture Sunday and I created it to strengthen my bond with Christ. I hope you’ll also be inspired.

John 3:16 is about God’s love for every individual. He loved us so much that He sent His only Son to be sacrificed. But why? Jesus was sinless, therefore the only one capable of taking on all the sins of humanity. He was the sacrifice of all sacrifices, meaning animal sacrifices were no longer needed.

Updated Value Proposition for Aegle Nutrition

I updated my value proposition for Aegle Nutrition and this time I recorded myself presenting it.

I received good, constructive criticism on my video from a Praxis advisor and he suggested a few things.

  • My “about me” story should be relevant to the position I’m applying.
  • Shorten the video because six minutes is a long time for a busy person to sit through. Keep it short and sweet in under three minutes.

Overall, I had a solid project and video introduction. I put in the most work for this value prop, compared to all the ones I’ve done so far.

Quick Update on this Month of Praxis

A very quick update on what I’m up to this month of Praxis.

I’m still creating value propositions for Praxis business partners every week and getting them reviewed by the Praxis team. For this week I’ll be doing something different and target a business outside of the Praxis network. My value prop is for Pusheen Box, yes that Pusheen you see in Facebook stickers.

I’ll give you an update on my completed value prop. I think this one is going to be my favorite out of all the ones I’ve done because I adore Pusheen! She’s more lovable than Hello Kitty.

How to Answer “Tell Me About Yourself” in an Interview

“So tell me about yourself.” This is a common question that stumps job-seekers. It’s a simple question but deceptively complicated because it’s vague and most people don’t take the time to define themselves.

New Year, New Me

I’m actually looking forward to 2019 because it’s the year I get to start over. I plan to be more organized with my schedule and finally start my Praxis apprenticeship!

This apprenticeship will officially mark the beginning of my career and although I’m not sure what I’ll be doing, it’s still exciting to know that I’m guaranteed a job. Also, I’ll be moving for the first time to a different state and work for at least six months for Praxis’ business partner.

Can’t wait to learn useful things, make lasting friendships, and be great. Here’s to the new year!

Value Proposition for Aegle Nutrition

Hey everyone, I wanted to update you on my progress in Praxis.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you know that I’m in the last month of the boot camp in Praxis. This month focuses on creating value propositions, or work projects, in order to get hired.

This week’s value prop is for Aegle Nutrition in the social media marketing role. I created 31 Instagram posts for them because their account has only one post, it’s nearly nonexistent.

Check out the value prop here.

Psalm 23: I Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death

Psalm 23:1-6

A Psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 23 is one of the most famous verses from the Bible and has brought much comfort to those who are dying or lost a loved one. Usually, it’s read during a funeral.
