The college degree is rapidly becoming obsolete. Employers are considering other means of qualifications to find the right employees and they’re getting rid of the degree requirement. This decision isn’t exclusive to low-skilled jobs but high paying careers at places like Apple, Google, and IBM recently got rid of their college degree requirements. Saturday Morning Solitude
As I head into work I remind myself to take in my surroundings and appreciate the little things in life. I also remind myself to appreciate the peaceful, still mornings.
When you feel stressed out find time for yourself even if it’s only for a few minutes before clocking in. Slow down and breathe in the new morning air, walk through a garden and enjoy the sight of blooming flowers. Continue reading Saturday Morning Solitude
Why Quit College?
Most high school graduates aren’t certain about their future, much less what they want to do for the rest of their lives. They don’t have much exposure to the real world, a fault that is not their own. Parents and public schools shelter them too much then expect them to function as adults immediately after graduation.
I’m not saying nobody should attend college. A degree is necessary for fields like STEM, law, medicine, accounting, or economics. Continue reading Why Quit College?
How to Break Through Writer’s Block
Do you face with the struggle of writing assignments or even small things like a simple email?
Many of us who graduate college struggle to write and communicate effectively. Schools don’t teach us to write like a human or how to properly email businesses and customers.
So how did I overcome writer’s block? Continue reading How to Break Through Writer’s Block
People Buy the Dumbest Things on eBay
About a week ago I received some Victoria’s Secret coupons for their Pink store and an idea popped into my head, “Would anyone buy this?”
I did what every good capitalist would do; put it up for auction on eBay! I actually did this as a joke because who in their right mind would buy coupons and think they’re saving money? Continue reading People Buy the Dumbest Things on eBay
Important Update About my T-shirt Store
I launched the grand opening of my t-shirt store and I made $13 in profit yesterday.
It might not be much but it’s pretty cool seeing people buy stuff that I produced.
I advertised my store through my personal Facebook and Instagram accounts and it’s been well received by my friends. I’ll definitely do more advertising on social media in the near future like using Facebook marketplace.
Society6 helped launch my store with a two-day sale and they sent me a 30% off code for everything in my store. My only complaint about the promotion is that I would prefer it to last for at least a week.
I’m also looking at other platforms to sell my shirts because Society6 barely pays artists.
I only get a 10% cut from each sale and I think it’s too low considering other sites like Inktale will give you 15%.
So just a heads up I’m moving my store soon due to these reasons.
The reason why I went with Society6 is that they have good quality shirts and I don’t pay shipping. They’re also well established and a trusted site.
Stay tuned for news on my relaunch.

Portfolio T-shirt Project Wrap-up
Hello everyone! It’s the last week of the portfolio project and I have a big update for this final week. I’ve learned quite a lot from some major design mistakes I made this week. So let’s wrap this up!
Portfolio T-Shirt Project Week 3
It’s been a challenging but rewarding month so far and I’ve made some big changes to my month-long t-shirt project. My original goal was to create 30 finished designs complete with t-shirt mockups, and open my own online store then market them through free outlets like Facebook and Instagram, and learn Adobe Illustrator from scratch. Continue reading Portfolio T-Shirt Project Week 3
Portfolio T-shirt Project Week 2
It’s week two of my portfolio T-shirt project and here is a quick update.
What Did I Produce?
I sketched the first set of ten designs in a sketchbook I had since 8th grade. It was a gift from my dad and I’ve filled it with various sketches and rough ideas, things that inspired me whenever I look back on it. I also have a rough draft of my first design done in Illustrator. Continue reading Portfolio T-shirt Project Week 2
