New Month, New Challenge: 30 Days of Blogging

It’s finally October, which means free candy and cooler weather! But it also means that I’ll be doing another challenge, and this time I’ll write for 30 consecutive days. I will also be reading The War of Art, and submitting a weekly article to a third party publication website.

What’s the Point of This Challenge?

By doing something every day you are guaranteed to improve. After all, practice makes almost perfect, right? One of my goals for this month is to see significant improvement in my writing skills because I’ll be straightforward and say that it’s not that great. I’m still getting out of the academic writing style like many others who went through public schools and by this, I mean that my style is rather stiff, and impersonal.

At the end of this month, I want to effectively express emotion in my writing without it sounding cheesy or cringey. Another goal I have is writing stuff that people want to read. I still struggle with making my content interesting enough to read.

What Will You Write About?

I’ll write about a variety of topics and things that are happening around me since this blog is a public diary of my life. I’m most likely going to write things relating to free-market economics or life and career advice from the perspective of a millennial.

Do You See Any Roadblocks?

The only major setbacks I can see happening are writer’s block and procrastination. Ever since high school, I struggled with writer’s block and I hated writing to the point where I was ok with accepting a failing grade. But now I see why I hated it so much; the topics I had to write about didn’t interest me and it severely limited my creative capabilities.

Procrastination is always going to be there and it all depends on how I manage it. This is a common problem for everyone whether it be putting off cleaning your room or waiting until the last minute to start a work project. I just have to power through it because there will be days where I’m too exhausted from work to write a post. The best solution to procrastination is effective time management.

What Are You Excited for This Month?

I’m excited to see even more improvement on my productivity and continue to build it up from last month. I also can’t wait to tell some of my family stories and how it relates to liberty!
